Two months ago, Studio 602 introduced the inaugural episode of The Blackwing Sessions, featuring our first Blackwing featured musician, Christian Tamburr. Since the video debuted, Places has gone on to garner widespread praise and mainstream success. The album has been promoted and played on airwaves across the country, climbing as high as number eight on the JazzWeek Jazz Album Chart. One reviewer described the album as “a buoyant, textured swing with straight ahead finesse and a silky smooth finish.” Renowned as one of the world’s greatest jazz vibraphonists, Tamburr is currently touring the U.S. and Europe in support of the album.
