Blackwing pencils have been favored by some of the world’s most creative people, including Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award winners.
The first Blackwing pencil was introduced by Eberhard Faber in the 1930’s. In 1998, after several corporate acquisitions, it was discontinued but not forgotten. In fact, fans began paying as much $40 on eBay for a single Blackwing pencil.
Artists from across the world soon noticed that Palomino’s range of premium pencils provided a comparable performance to the Blackwing and asked them to consider reviving the iconic brand. Palomino, whose roots in the pencil industry date back to the 19th century, re-introduced the Blackwing in 2010. Since then, Blackwing has been extended to include three different pencils (soft, firm or balanced) and a unique line of luxury journals and other creative tools.
Claimed by many to be the best pencils in the world, Blackwings are known for their quality materials, an iconic shape that includes a replaceable eraser, and the creative lifestyle they can inspire.
